Our Story

Top Class Renovations was founded by Alan Hord, a proud Hill District native with a strong connection to his community.

Alan's journey began at Penn State University Park and continued with a joint JD/MBA from Duquesne University. His passion for real estate development led him to create a company that offers complete construction management and general contracting services.

With a background in Political Science, Economics, and Labor Employment Relations, Alan combines academic expertise with practical real estate experience to empower Pittsburgh residents and businesses.
Ronald Moore

LEAD CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Ronald Moore is the heart of our construction operations. With over 15 years of experience as an electrician and a foreman, Ron's expertise in construction management and structural framing is unmatched.
His leadership on the field guarantees that our work meets the highest standards of quality, every time.
Shawn Weaver

TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
Shawn Weaver is our technology guru, constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation. Growing up on the northside of Pittsburgh, Shawn's early passion for technology led him to earn a degree in computer science from Penn State.
His experience with various technologies — including voice recognition for healthcare providers — allows us to integrate cutting-edge solutions into our projects.
Earl Hord

DESIGNER
A Pittsburgh native, Earl Hord graduated locally from Winchester Thurston School before earning his bachelor’s degree in biology and later his Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Despite his formal education in the sciences, Earl has always been deeply design-driven, with a strong creative instinct and an eye for detail.
In 2022, Earl purchased, designed, and successfully sold his first residential property, marking the beginning of his professional journey in design and real estate development. Since then, his distinct aesthetic, artistic vision, and practical understanding of construction have played a key role in allowing Top Class Renovations to execute a wide range of architectural and interior design styles tailored to client needs.
In addition to his design work, Earl operates Earl Hord Photography, a professional photography business responsible for the high-quality project imagery used by Top Class Renovations. His background in photography enhances his design process by emphasizing composition, lighting, and visual storytelling—ensuring that each completed project is both thoughtfully designed and exceptionally documented.
